With Sam Houston being such heavy favorites, there is little to no value in taking them on the moneyline. With that, there is plenty of value with the college football props on the alternate spread where betting sites are offering plus money.

Not to mention, they are also 0-4 this season and have lost three of those games by 10+ points. UTEP Accepts Mountain West Invite

In other news, the Mountain West Conference is back in Texas with the UTEP Miners accepting an invite to join the conference beginning in 2026. UTEP isn’t necessarily the contending type that the Mountain West were hoping for, but with many of their teams jumping ship to the PAC-12 they had to act quickly the Miners were quick to accept an invite.

Since joining Conference USA in 2005, they’ve had just four winning seasons. Their last five seasons against the spread have been rough with a 28-32-1 record and an average game margin of -7.5. Their odds to win the Conference USA title also haven’t opened in the preseason under +1000 odds at all since 2016 and they’ve never won the conference either.

A change of scenery is exactly what the Miners need with fresh competition to try and get to that competitive status and competing for a conference title.
