- Odds have Emeka Egbuka’s reception total set at 4.5.
- Mitchell Evan’s receiving yard total is set at 34.5 yards.
- Gee Scott Jr. has a 17.5 yard receiving total.
ATLANTA - While this might not be the ideal game for receivers on either side, there is still betting value to be made on the likes of Emeka Egbuka, Mitchell Evans, and Gee Scott Jr.
The props to look at on college football prop betting sites for the three come in their reception and yardage totals.
Emeka Egbuka To Be Busy Again
Emeka Egbuka Total Receptions
- Over 4.5 -150
- Under 4.5 +115
Egbuka has been a busy man through the college football playoffs having gone over his reception total in all three games totaling 15 receptions throughout. Now more than ever though, Egbuka will continue to be busy in this one as opponents are mainly shifting their focus to Jeremiah Smith and slacking off of Egbuka.
In the semifinal against Texas, the Longhorns secondary was draped on Smith and held him to just one catch for three yards while Egbuka stayed consistent at five receptions for 51 yards.
Being that he’s gone over this total in each of the last three playoff games, it’s hard to see why college football sportsbooks undervalued him in the biggest game of the season.
Mitchell Evans To Pace Irish Receivers
Mitchell Evans Total Receiving Yards
- Over 34.5 -115
- Under 34.5 -115
While Evans might not have the most eye popping impact, he is the security blanket for Riley Leonard in the passing game as he paces all receivers in receptions. Evans is coming off of a 58 yard outing in the semifinal which is second highest yard total of the season.
With an 8-point spread in favor of Ohio State, in order for Notre Dame to keep up with an offense that won each playoff game by 2+ touchdowns and scored 40+ in two of three games, they’ll be forced to throw the ball here leaving Evans as a successor.
Ohio State is also coming off of their win against Texas having allowed tight end, Gunnar Helm, to go for 42 yards.
Low Total For Gee Scott Jr.
Gee Scott Jr. Total Receiving Yards
- Over 17.5 -115
- Under 17.5 -115
Like Egbuka, Gee Scott Jr. will also benefit off of opposing secondaries focusing on Jeremiah Smith. He had his highest reception total in the semifinal due to this and has crossed the 30 yard mark in each playoff game as well.
