Cam Ward Heavily Favored To Land In Tennessee In The NFL Draft

  • Cam Ward has -120 odds to be the first overall pick in the NFL Draft.
  • Abdul Carder has the second shortest odds to be selected first.
  • Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders have +400 odds or less to be selected first.

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Next up on the schedule for the NFL and college football is the NFL Draft which is set to begin on April 24 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.

Right now, on college football prop betting sites, bettors will find odds on who is going to be selected first overall, and sitting at the top is former Washington State and Miami Hurricanes QB, Cam Ward.

1st Overall Pick 2025 NFL Draft

  • Cameron Ward (MIA) -120
  • Abdul Carter (PSU) +195
  • Travis Hunter (COL) +375
  • Shedeur Sanders (COL) +400
  • Jaxson Dart (MISS) +4000
  • Mason Graham (MICH) +5000
  • Kelvin Banks Jr. (TEX) +7500
  • Mykel Williams (UGA) +7500
  • Will Campbell (LSU) +7500
  • Jalen Milroe (ALA) +8000
  • Ashton Jeanty (BSU) +10000
  • Deone Walker (UK) +10000

Ward was never really seen as the odds on favorite until recently. At the beginning of December, Ward at +775 odds to be the first overall pick behind both Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter.

The reason behind Ward’s meteoric rise to the top of the odds board comes as rumors started to swirl that Tennessee has a preference between Ward and Sanders at QB and that Ward is their guy. This comes after NFL insider, Benjamin Albright reported on the rumor.

Where The Rest Of The Dominoes Fall

While college football sportsbooks don’t yet have odds for the remaining picks in the draft, we’ll speculate here that way bettors have a jump when those odds do come out.

At the second pick, Abdul Carter to the Cleveland Browns just makes sense. The Browns star defensive end, Myles Garrett, has requested a trade out of Cleveland. If they do follow through with the request, it leaves a massive gap on the defensive line that Carter could step in and fill right away.

At pick three for the New York Giants, they are in dire need for a QB and there is mutual interest between the organization and Shedeur Sanders. Sanders has already vocalized that he wants to play for the Giants. Most notably by wearing Giants-themed cleats in Colorado's bowl game at the end of the season.

As for the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, Travis Hunter, he could land in a great spot with the New England Patriots who not only are looking to add to their DB room but also to their young receiving core. A secondary that consists of two young stars in Hunter and Christian Gonzalez is just too hard to pass up. Hunter could also solidify himself as one of the top receivers for the Pats after posting 1,258 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns last season. Not to mention, he also won the Biletnikoff Award as the most outstanding receiver.
