Best Bets For Baylor Vs. LSU Kinder’s Texas Bowl

  • Garrett Nussmeier’s odds for his passing yard total are set at 271.5.
  • Bryson Washington has a 102.5 yard rushing total.

HOUSTON – There is plenty of betting value to go around in this one between LSU and Baylor in the Texas Bowl. While there is value on the gameline here, we’re taking a look at specific players.

In particular on college football prop betting sites, LSU QB, Garrett Nussmeier, and Baylor running back, Bryson Washington both have decent odds to take advantage of.

Bet Garrett Nussmeier Under Passing Yards

Garrett Nussmeier Total Passing Yards

  • Over 271.5 -113
  • Under 271.5 -115

While Nussmeier will be playing as he is returning for a final year at LSU, he’ll be playing without two of his top receivers in Kyren Lacy and CJ Daniels who account for more than 1,200 of Nussmeier’s passing yards on the season.

Although Nussmeier won’t have those two targets, even with them to finish the season he posted a 3-3 record of going over 271.5 passing yards.

That aside, the Baylor secondary should be somewhat respected against this passing yard total as opposing QBs this season are averaging 227.6 yards per game against them. The Bears will also have nearly all of their DBs and CBs playing in this one.

In Baylor’s last five games to finish the season, all five opposing QBs stayed under 271.5 passing yards.

Take Bryson Washington To Finish Strong

Bryson Washington Total Rushing Yards

  • Over 102.5 -115
  • Under 102.5 -115

While college football sportsbooks have a high number set for Washington’s yard total, bettors should have no fear in trusting him to go over.

The freshman running back had a breakout year going for 1,004 yards and has crossed the 102.5 yard mark in six of 10 games played this season.

Washington did start off slow only managing over 102.5 in one of four games to start the year, however, he quickly picked up and went over in five of six games to finish the season.

The LSU run defense also isn’t anything too intimidating. They are in the bottom five of the SEC in rush yards allowed per game at 146.6
