Best Oregon Ducks Props vs Michigan State: Bet on RB Overs

  • The best Oregon Ducks player props to bet on versus Michigan State are on the over for both Jordan James and Noah Whittington to over their rushing yards totals.

EUGENE, Ore. – The best player props for the Oregon Ducks versus the Michigan State Spartans game on Friday night can be difficult to find given MSU’s rating as a top 50 pass and rush defense.

But, further research on the Spartans’ defense suggests those statistics may be significantly improved simply due to their 40-0 victory over Prairie View A&M this season. That means there are many great Oregon Ducks props to choose from versus Michigan State.

Best Oregon Ducks Prop vs Michigan State: Both Ducks RBs Over

Jordan James is the clear leader of the running backs room for Oregon. That’s evident by the college football props for him that set his rushing yards line at 91.5 yards and by his 386 yards this season.

The initial fear when looking at Jordan James odds versus MSU was their defense. On the surface, Michigan State is 40th in the country in rush yards per game at 114.4. But, that standing is much better than they have actually been versus FBS teams.

If you remove Prairie View A&M’s 17 rushing yards on 27 attempts performance from Michigan State’s average, they give up 138.75 rushing yards per game. That would rank much more in the middle of the pack nationally at 67th.

That gives much more wiggle room for Jordan James to go over his 91.5 rushing yards prop (-112 over odds).

James has rushed for at least 95 yards in three of Oregon’s four games this season and is likely to do so again.

Another bet on Oregon’s running backs that may even be a better bet is on backup Noah Whittington to go over his rushing yards total at Bovada.

The line is set at 29.5 yards with both the over and under having -114 odds at college football sportsbooks in Oregon. Whittington has gone over 29.5 rushing yards in two of four games this season.

With Oregon a 23.5-point favorite and a matchup with Ohio State on deck, it may make some sense to give Whittington a few more of James’ carries so that the star running back is healthy for next week’s top ten matchup.
