DALLAS – Both the Ohio State Buckeyes and Texas Longhorns have some of the best running backs in the country and bettors will have plenty of opportunity to take action on them.
On college football prop betting sites, there are odds on the three star receivers in this game including Texas running back Quintrevion Wisner and both Ohio State backs, TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins.
Quintrevion Wisner Kept In Check
Quintrevion Wisner Total Rushing Yards
- Over 60.5 -114
- Under 60.5 -114
Wisner hasn’t had the best run since the SEC Championship game and his cold streak could very well struggle against an elite Ohio State run defense. Wisner has stayed under 60.5 yards in two of his last three games and in eight games total on the year.
In the two games that he’s stayed under in his last three outings, he’s only averaged a measly 2.5 yards per carry.
Now, he gets arguably his toughest test yet against a top-5 run defense in Ohio State that allows just 92.2 total rush yards per game on the year. The Buckeyes are also coming off of a quarterfinal game against Oregon where they held the entire offense to just 21 rush yards.
With Wisner’s recent struggles and the strength of Ohio State’s defense, taking his under is surely the play here.
TreVeyon Henderson To Get Work Through The Air
TreVeyon Henderson Total Receptions
- Over 2.5 -167
- Under 2.5 +127
This is a low enough number to trust Henderson to achieve as he’s been featured in the past game a bit more over the Buckeyes last three games. He’s caught at least three passes in three of his last four outings including in both of Ohio State’s playoff games.
Henderson also does not have to worry about Quinshon Judkins being worked into the pass game at all as he’s had no receptions in two of his last three games.
With the offense as a whole being on fire through the Buckeyes playoff games, Henderson could be subject to more dump off passes if they take and hold the lead rather than the offense firing downfield.
Quinshon Judkins Acts On Heavy Workload
Quinshon Judkins Total Receiving Yards
- Over 51.5 -114
- Under 51.5 -114
Judkins could be in line for another heavy workload against Texas and college football sportsbooks could pay the price for a low rushing total. He’s cleared this number in eight of 14 games on the year and is coming off of a 17 carry for 85 yard performance in the college football playoff quarterfinal.
He gets more than enough opportunities per game to hit this number and is coming off of a 17 attempt game to prove that.
Also, if Ohio State obliterates Texas as they did in their first two playoff games, the offense will rely on the run the rest of the way to keep the clock moving.
