MIAMI – Tuesday Night college football features a Conference USA matchup between the Sam Houston State Bearkats and the FIU Panthers in what could potentially be a shootout.
Given the high possibility of a shootout, college football props sites have this point total set way too low at 46.5 points which leaves plenty of opportunity for plus money on an alternate point total.
Power Offenses Colliding, Take The Extra Points
The fact that college football betting sites set the total for this game anywhere under 50 points is baffling considering that combined, both offenses combine for 55.4 points and both defenses allow a combined 53.6 points.
The Bearkats have been trending over as of late having hit the over in two of their last three outings. They’ve also seen 60+ points scored in those two games. They’ve gone over the 46.5 mark in four of seven games this season.
As for FIU, there is no reason that any of their games going forward should have a total of under 50 points. They’ve seen 50+ combined points in five of their seven games this season and have allowed opponents to score 30+ while also scoring 20+ of their own in four of their last five games.
Keyone Jenkins Injury Update
Keyone Jenkins had a scare last week after landing awkwardly on his throwing arm that forced him out of the game. However, it is not expected to be a long term injury and there is optimism that he’ll be suiting up under center on Tuesday Night according to head coach Mike MacIntyre.
