- Jeremiyah Love has a 38.5 rushing yard total in the Orange Bowl.

MIAMI – Ground and pound will be the name of the game in the Orange Bowl between Notre Dame and Penn State and this matchup features some of the top backs in the country on both sides.
College football prop betting sites seem to be low on Jeremiyah Love and high on both Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen.
Jeremiyah Love Hitting Rock Bottom?
Jeremiyah Love Rushing Yard Total
- Over 38.5 -110
- Under 38.5 -118
There is no hiding that Jeremiyah Love has been ice cold in these playoffs thus far and that is not expected to change one bit, even in sunny Miami. Bettors should not fall for the low rushing total trap on college football sportsbooks here.
Through Notre Dame’s two playoff games, Love has totaled 14 carries for 127 yards. However, 98 of those yards came on a busted play against Indiana. When excluding that run, he’s only totaled 13 carries for an abysmal 29 yards.
Now, he gets a matchup against a Penn State run defense that ranks eighth in the country in opposing rush yards allowed at 100.9. The Nittany Lions are also coming off a win over Boise State where they held the best rusher in the country, Ashton Jeanty, to just 3.5 yards per carry and 104 total rush yards, his lowest YPC and rushing yard total of the year.
They also held SMU running back, Brashard Smith to just 3.4 yards per carry after he’d been averaging 5.7 all season.
Aside from the defense, Love just isn't getting enough usage as of late to trust even this low total. In his last four games, he’s gone for eight or less rushing attempts three times. That said, if Penn State’s trend of keeping opposing RBs to under 3.5 ypc continues, Love won’t even cross the 30 yard mark.
Penn State Running Attack Stays Strong
Nick Singleton Rushing Yard Total
- Over 60.5 -113
- Under 60.5 -115
Kaytron Allen Rushing Yard Total
- Over 52.5 -114
- Under 52.5 -114
There is no RB1 and RB2 for Penn State. It’s RB1a and RB1b with Singleton and Allen and both of them can be trusted to go over their totals in this one. Both get more than enough opportunities per game to sustain going over as well.
Since the Big 10 Championship, each of them have gone for 10+ carries and have gone over their rushing yard totals in all three games as well. Neither of them have rushed for under 70 yards in that three game span either.
This duo is going to be just too much for the Irish to handle as they each get more than enough opportunities.
