Tuesday Night College Football Betting: Alternate Lines Worth Taking On Louisiana Tech

  • Louisiana Tech is an 11.5-point favorite over New Mexico State.
  • There are +105 odds for Louisiana Tech to cover a 13-point spread.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Tuesday Night in college football features a Conference USA matchup between the New Mexico State Aggies and Louisiana Tech. Both teams may have gotten off to slower starts to their seasons, however, Louisiana Tech has definitely picked things up as of late leaving them with plenty of betting value.

Louisiana Tech vs. New Mexico State

  • Moneyline: LA Tech (-470) vs NMSU (+345)
  • Spread: LA Tech -11.5
  • Total: 50 Points

There is confidence in taking Louisiana Tech’s odds on the spread at college football props betting sites even at the double-digit margin. New Mexico State is playing at an extremely low level where bettors can feel comfortable betting against them each week.

Take The Extra Points For Louisiana Tech

While there is value in getting in on the Bulldogs at their current spread, there is potential to make plus money betting on their alternate line of -13 at +105 odds.

New Mexico State’s defense is atrocious. Plain and simple. Four of the five games that they’ve lost have all come by double digits and three of them have come by 13+ points as well. They are also allowing teams to score against them at will having allowed for the second most points in the conference at 229 through just six games. They are also allowing a massive 95.45% success rate to opposing teams in the red zone.

The Aggies have also done extremely poorly against the spread this season at a 1-5 record and have also failed to cover as a double digit underdog in four of those games.

As for Louisiana Tech, while they aren't anything to write home about either, they are coming off of an explosion of a game where they dismantled Middle Tennessee 48-21. For those that don’t know, Middle Tennessee is just as bad if not worse than New Mexico State. With that in mind, Louisiana Tech had no issue running through them and should not have an issue running through the Aggies leaving plenty of unfound value on college football props sportsbooks.
